Shoulder patterned lifting eye bolts, often called machinery eye bolts, collared lifting eye bolts or lifting eyes, feature a shoulder under the eye that provides greater stability for angular lifts by reducing stress on the shank. They are primarily used for permanent mounting to industrial machinery or equipment for lifting. Lifting eye bolts can also be used for other rigging, and suspension applications, or they may be used as anchor points for other rigging hardware.
